In memory of Giulia, a minute of silence will be observed on Monday 20 November at the beginning of each University of Padua lesson.

"The news of Giulia Cecchettin's passing leaves us in shock and dismayed. The entire University of Padua community feels an excruciating pain, states Daniela Mapelli, Rector of the University of Padua. We waited and hoped that a different outcome would come to pass".

On behalf of the Director of the Information Engineering department, Prof Gaudenzio Meneghesso, we reflect upon the fact that Giulia should have celebrated the achievement of her goal in these days, as we had prepared to award her with her much deserved university degree.
