On Thursday 25 September, on the occasion of the European Day of Languages, Progetto Giovani organises an event to promote linguistic diversity and encourage foreign language learning.
The event, organised in cooperation with the Europe Direct Centre of Padova, Popoli Insieme Association and Xena Association, takes place atSala Paldin, Palazzo Moroni, Via del Municipio, 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Participation is free registration through the online form is recommended.
The theme of the 2025 European Day of Languages is “Languages open hearts and minds”. This motto reflects the fact that language learning involves both emotions and the brain. In addition to enhancing brain power and connecting people, language learning can facilitate the exchange of ideas, emotions, and experiences, strengthening empathy and respect for different ways of life.
The event offers the opportunity to take part in language activities in order to meet people and learn about cultures from around the world, discover new languages, and learn words and idioms typical of other countries. There will be information stands on European and non-European languages, where it will be possible to carry out ludic-linguistic activities.
