International Human Rights Day, the Unipd events

On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, December 10, the Human Rights Centre "Antonio Papisca" and the UNESCO Chair "Human Rights, Democracy and Peace" of the University of Padova organise a series of events dedicated to human rights, in the 40th anniversary of the Human Rights Centre.

Monday December 13, 8.30 pm, Sala Paladin, Palazzo Moroni: A cosa serve il Garante dei detenuti?
The Municipality of Padova in collaboration with the Human Rights Centre promotes an event to understand the role of the Prisoners' Guarantor. The event analyses the work of this figure in Italy in the last twenty years and in particular his path in the Municipality of Padova.

Tuesday December 14, 6 pm, online: I diritti umani delle donne quale paradigma politico e operativo dei centri antiviolenza.
The Centro Veneto Progetti Donna, in partnership with the Human Rights Centre, Rel.Azioni Positive scs and Lancelibere, is organising a webinar that intends to consider the operational and political perspective of the work of anti-violence centres and the relevance of the discourse of human rights with respect to the construction of paths of liberation of women from violence within the framework of current governance.
The event is realised within the project "Anti-Violence Centre in 3D: Women Defender of Women's Human Rights".

Tuesday December 14, 8.30 pm, Sala Paladin, Palazzo Moroni: Padova in Difesa di un territorio ospitale per chi difende diritti umani.
The event is organised by the Municipality of Padova, the In Difesa Di network and the Human Rights Centre to discuss the relocation project of two human rights defenders from the Horn of Africa at the Padova hub.
