Honorary Doctorate Degree to Peter Gloviczki

On May 26, 6 p.m., in the Aula Magna of Palazzo del Bo, with the resolution of the University of Padua Department of Cardio-Thoraco-Vascular Sciences and Public Health, the Phd Faculty of the “G.B. Morgagni” Translational Specialistic Medicine confers the honorary doctorate degree in cardiovascular translational medicine to Peter Gloviczki.
As the former Director of the Mayo Clinic Gonda Vascular Centre and current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Vascular Surgery Publications, Dr. Gloviczki is the Joe M. and Ruth Roberts Professor of Surgery (Emeritus) of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.

Awarding the scholar “based on his pioneering contributions in arterial, venous, and lymphatic reconstructive vascular surgery, as well as for his dedication in actively mentoring several generations of vascular surgeons during his academic career.”

Dr. Peter Gloviczki will hold a lectio magistralis (in English) during the ceremony.
