Giants of the Sea

Organized in collaboration with the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Nutrition, the Museum of Veterinary Medicine hosts an exhibition on the giants of the sea on Friday 1 March.

Reflecting on the many threats to whales, dolphins, and other aquatic mammals (cetaceans), the exhibition discusses the daily risks in the extinction of such fragile creatures inhabiting our extraordinary Mediterranean seas.

As part of the 2024 Agripolis Open Day, the I Giganti Del Mare, così grandi, così fragile exhibit will be open from 9am to 6pm so that visitors can delve into the biology and pathological anatomy of these incredible animals by reflecting on how human activities interfere with their lives.

The exhibition is free, guided tours are available upon reservation at 10, 11:30, 15:30, and 17.
