Galilean Diplomas and certificates, the award ceremony at Palazzo del Bo

The Galileo Galilei Great Hall of Palazzo del Bo will provide the setting, on Thursday 11 December at 11 a.m., for the diploma award ceremony for the students of the Galilean School of Higher Education.
There are 25 female and male students who, at the end of the master’s program and the five-year program, obtained certificates and diplomas: 18 men and 7 women belonging to the three academic areas of Moral Sciences (literary, historical, and philosophical disciplines), Natural Sciences (focused on mathematical, physical, chemical, biomedical, and technical studies), and Social Sciences (economic, legal, Psychology, and Political Science disciplines).
Opening the day will be the institutional greetings from the Rector of the University of Padua, Daniela Mapelli; the Director of the Galilean School of Higher Education, Gianguido Dell’Agata; Chiara Oliveri, representative of the School’s students; Lucia Lupotti, representative of the School’s international students; and Leone Cimetta, president of the Galilean School Alumni Association.
This will be followed by a lectio magistralis by Marta Cartabia, Bocconi University, entitled Safeguarding Democracy: The Constitution and the Courts.
The event will conclude with the awarding of the diplomas and a short concert by students of the Galilean School. Francesco Gherardi will perform L. v. Beethoven’s Sonata in E-flat major, Op. 7: I. Allegro con brio.
Attendance is by invitation, and the ceremony will also be livestreamed on the Galilean School’s YouTube channel.
