European Universities one year on: lessons learned and challenges ahead

14.10.2020

Thursday 15 October 2020
10:30-11:45

This session of the Conference of the European Association for International Education deals with European Universities: two of the initial 17 European University Alliances, which are now a year into their implementation, are discussed.

They represent very different approaches to this flagship initiative: one is discipline oriented while the other - Arqus Alliance, in which the University of Padua takes part - takes a transversal institutional approach. Speakers in this session will analyse the two alliances’ similarities and differences, together with their initial results. We will also look at the challenges involved, whether planned for or, like the pandemic, unexpected.

The second part of this session is dedicated to the break-out discussions, you can turn on your webcam and microphone and dive into the conversation in small groups.
