Edward Bullmore, guest at the PNC Distinguished Lectures

As part of the seminars organized by the “Padua Neuroscience Center – PNC”, Edward Bullmore will give a talk entitled “Brain networks and schizophrenia” on October 26 at Fondazione Ricerca Biomedica Avanzata VIMM.

Edward Bullmore, FRCP, FRCPsych, FmedSci, is Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Director of the Behavioural and Clinical Neuroscience Institute (BCNI) at the University of Cambridge; Vice-President of Cambridge Clinical Unit of Experimental Medicine at GlaxoSmithKline. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences (FmedSci), a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych), and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). He is also a Senior Investigator at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and an Honorary Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge.

His work focuses on understanding human brain network organization from neuroimaging data in health and disease, using graph theory to measure aspects of brain network topology. He is also interested in better neuroscientific understanding and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

The seminar will be held in English, and it is open to professors, researchers, lecturers, Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows and grant holders.

Attendance is free as long as places are available.
