19.07.2022

Aimed at researchers under 35, whose original and relevant research demonstrates great interest to operators in the international dairy sector, the International Dairy Federation (FIL/IDF) officially names Angela Costa the winner of the "IDF Professor Pavel Jelen Early Career Scientist Prize". Research fellow at the DAFNAE department of the University of Padua, Dr. Costa has been recognized for her work in the study "Mid-IR spectroscopy for an accurate prediction of IgG concentration in bovine colostrum" and for the consistency of her profile and academic curriculum.

The award, for which there was a large number of international candidates, includes an invitation for Dr. Costa to attend the awards ceremony to share her research at the World Dairy Summit 2022 in September in New Delhi, India.

IDF Standing Committee on Dairy Science and Technology Member and Judicial Panel Chair of the Prize, Dr. Geoffrey Smithers notes,

“We are convinced that this prize will provide candidates with the right incentives to direct their careers towards dairy-related issues, empowering new generations of scientists and technologists devoted to dairy science and technology, and thereby improving the quality, safety, and nutritious value of milk and dairy products.”
