Discovering a Diamond Mine

On 7 March, the University of Padua Museum of Nature and Humankind (corso Giuseppe Garibaldi, 39 - Padova), at 6 p.m., will host a meeting with world famous geochemists, Prof Graham Pearson.
Prof Pearson will share his experience on how a diamond mine is discovered and what exploration methods are used from equatorial jungles, the desert, to arctic regions.
In conversation with Geochemistry Fellow 2024 and Unipd Prof Fabrizio Nestola, Pearson arrives in Padua to share more about their 2014 mineralogical discovery that provided new data on the real water content of our planet.
The meeting features Italian and English translations.
Participation is free by reservation, and does not include admission to the Museum.
