Discover the beauty of Palazzo Bo with the new VisitUniPD app

The interactive and captivating new University of Padua VisitUniPD app was created to discover the wonders of Palazzo Bo in just one click, available in Italian and English.

Download the app to your smartphone for free from your Android or Apple store platform. The app was designed by the Communication and Marketing Area (ACOM).  The software and IT support of this new application was developed in collaboration with the IT and telematic services area (ASIT) of the University of Padua.

Navigate the app using any of the four areas, Tours, Games, Survey and Contacts.

Select the Tour to discover photos, descriptions and multimedia content. Get lost in the heart of the University of Padua’s Palazzo Bo.   Including the ancient Aula Magna that was restored in 1942 by the Milanese architect Gio Ponti, the sixteenth-century Anatomical Theatre which was the first example of a permanent structure created for teaching anatomy through the dissection of cadavers in the world, as well as Galileo's podium that according to legend the great scientist gave his lectures, and so much more.  Fifteen areas of the exterior space are dedicated to visiting the historic building virtually. Including the Ancient Courtyard that was created by the architect Andrea Moroni and where numerous ancient coats of arms representing the families of students and those who held academic positions are on display. The famous sculpture dedicated to Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, the New Courtyard with the sculpture by Arturo Marini of Palinuro (1947), and the sculpture by Jannis Kounellis called Resistenza e Liberazione that evokes the struggle against fascism and Italy’s liberation.

Beyond culture and beauty, use the VisitUniPD app tests users with fun and interactive activities such as the photo game 'Scratch and discover'.
