Beyond Silence, the concert

The all-female ensemble My Venice Orchestra directed by Alissia Venier, will perform, with the participation of tenor Christian Ricci, a selection of pieces dedicated to the female figure in music, from its allegorical representation in the 17th and 18thcenturies to its 19th-century idealisation and the sublimation of women in art.

The event, marking International Women’s Day, is part of a project by Orchestra Sinfonica del Veneto (Veneto Symphony Orchestra) which aims to highlight the excellence and uniqueness of women’s interpretation and artistic language, in the name of the principles of gender equality and equal opportunities.
Writer and journalist Federica Morello will present the evening.

On Friday 8 March at 6pm in the Aula Magna at Palazzo del Bo.
