Become an Arqus Café Tutor!
26.01.2026
The call for tutors for the 12th edition of the Arqus Cafés is now open. The programme will run from 16 March to 29 May 2026.
Would you like to become part of the Arqus Café family as a tutor? All Arqus languages are offered, and new languages are always welcome!
Tutors support and guide conversations in their native or first language, encouraging participants throughout their learning journey. Arqus Café tutors receive training, guidelines, themes, and strategies for facilitating the sessions and, in many cases, work in pairs for the same language.
Cafés take place once a week for one hour, and selected tutors will be able to propose their café at a time that fits their availability.
Arqus Cafés are informal meetings where students and staff can come together to practise languages, guided by tutors with native-level proficiency in their respective languages. With both online and in-person formats, the cafés offer participants a relaxed environment to develop language skills and broaden cultural understanding, without the pressure typical of traditional teacher-led classes.
Launched in spring 2020 as a digital initiative, the Arqus Cafés quickly became very popular among the Alliance’s member universities. Today, they remain one of Arqus’s most appreciated activities, offering cultural exchange and opportunities to build personal connections.
Register now, the 12th edition of the Arqus Café will begin on 16 March 2026.
