Attitudes towards LGBTIQ+ people in the Western Balkans

On April 21, Human Rights Center “Antonio Papisca” of the University of Padua, from 11 until 12:30, hosts the meeting Attitudes towards LGBTIQ+ people in the Western Balkans – Presenting the results of the regional LGBTI public opinion poll.

In December 2022, LGBTI Equal Rights Association for the Western Balkans and Turkey (ERA) in partnership with IPSOS Strategic Marketing and with the support of the European Commission and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, conducted an opinion poll on LGBTIQ+ rights with the general population in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. The survey aimed to understand public attitudes in the Western Balkans region.

After greetings by Unipd Professor Sara Peniccino, Danijel Kalezic from Equal Rights Association for the Western Balkans and Turkey (ERA), will present and discuss the results.
