2024 CICAP Festival - Misurare il mondo

Measuring the world (Misurare il mondo) is the theme of the 2024 CICAP Festival, which aims to explore the concept of measurement under the different aspects, from practice in the strict sense to what is not measurable, from everyday life to its social and cultural implications.

Science starts from observation and the need to interpret the world. The first step is to understand what you see from a qualitative perspective and measure it. We must identify quantities under a work of description and definition within the elements that make up reality. A task that requires sharing a language and a method. Once the quantities have been defined and measured, we can investigate the relationships with which they interact, formulate hypotheses, make predictions, and verify reliability.

Measurements help us discover new connections, identify errors, and find the best path for the future. They tell us what our limits are and what our place is in the universe and on the only planet we have.

Misurare il mondo takes place in Padua from 11 to 13 October, preceded by CICAP Fest Edu from 7 to 11 October with a schedule dedicated to educators and schools.
