Between December 22 and January 7, in the ancient courtyard of Palazzo del Bo in Padova from 9.30 a.m. until 9 p.m., the installation 'Fragile' tells about the generative power of nature and the ability of human beings to understand, shape and replicate it, even in its most destructive forms.

Nature is resilient. It grows luxuriantly wherever it is given a chance. A few favourable conditions are enough for the seed to take root, giving rise to ever changing environments.

The Planet’s capacity for regeneration is part of nature’s own generative power. A power that human beings have always sought to understand, transform and replicate, even in its most destructive forms.

Modifying the environment is a distinctive ability of our species. It has allowed us to thrive, but our imprint on habitats has become ever more profound, undermining ecosystems and the very balance of the Planet.

In this relationship, who is really the fragile party?
