Development Cooperation

The University of Padua promotes various forms of development cooperation activities, including:

  • Student Mobility: incoming and outgoing mobility to/from low- and middle-income countries within the framework of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program, bilateral agreements, double or joint degree agreements, and cooperation programs promoted by external organizations;
  • Academic Staff Mobility: incoming and outgoing mobility to/from low- and middle-income countries through dedicated funding;
  • Support for At-Risk Scholars: hosting scholars who are holders of political asylum or international protection, or those considered to be in high-risk situations (Unipd Scholars at Risk)
  • Support for international students: welcoming degree-seeking students from low- and middle-income countries with dedicated support and services, including various merit-based and/or income-based scholarships
  • Summer Schools: organized in collaboration with partner universities
  • Cooperation Projects: projects funded by the European Commission (e.g., Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building, Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange, Erasmus Mundus Action);
  • Participation in Transnational Education Initiatives (MUR-PNRR-TNE);
  • Regional Cooperation Strategies;
  • Participation in international networks active in the field of development cooperation (e.g., CUCS, UNIMED, Coimbra Group, UniAdrion, Scholars at Risk).
