Our partnerships

The University of Padua has established long-standing relationships with Higher Education Institutions all over the world, not only in Europe but also in Africa, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East and Oceania, aimed at encouraging international student and staff exchanges, joint programmes, innovative virtual teaching programmes, research collaboration, joint publications, etc. Our goal is to deliver academic excellence and advance the reputation and work of the University of Padua.
Since January 1, 2026, a new Unipd International Partnership Policy has come into force. The Policy was developed with the aim of providing the University of Padua with a unified and consistent framework for identifying, developing, approving, monitoring and reviewing educational collaborations with non-European partners and with European partners for agreements other than Erasmus+.
In line with the University Strategic Plan 2023-2027, the International Partnership Policy recognises international partnerships as a key enabler of its mission to promote excellence in education, towards the growth of students and staff, and the international positioning of the University. To this end, it introduces a quality- rather than quantity-based approach, based on principles of responsibility and strategic alignment.

Please find below the list of possible types of partnerships:
