Departmental scholarships
The following Departments offer additional scholarships to international students:
Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Environmental engineering
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Mathematical Engineering
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Water and Geological Risk Engineering
The amount of the scholarship is € 8,000.00. The Scholarship is granted for two (2) academic years.
Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science (DBCA)
- 1 scholarship for the Bachelor’s degree in Animal Care
The amount of the scholarship is € 2,500.00. The Scholarship is granted for one (1) academic
year
- 1 scholarship for the Master's degree in Biotechnology for Food Sciences
The amount of the scholarship is € 6,000.00. The Scholarship is granted for one (1) academic
year.
Department of Cultural Heritage: Archaeology and History of Art, Cinema and Music
- 1 scholarship for the Master's degree in Applied sciences to cultural heritage materials and sites in memory of Cesare Pinton
The amount of the scholarship is € 7,000.00. The Scholarship is granted for one (1) academic
year.
Department of Developmental Psychology and Socialisation (DPSS)
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Development and Educational Psychology
The amount of each scholarship is € 6,500.00. The Scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
Department of Industrial Engineering (DII)

Department of Information Engineering (DEI)
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in ICT for Internet and Multimedia,
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Computer Engineering
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Control Systems Engineering
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Electronic Engineering
- 2 scholarships for the Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering
The amount of each scholarship is € 6,000.00. The Scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry (TESAF)
- 3 scholarships for the Master’s degree in Forest Science
The amount of each scholarship is € 6,000.00 per academic year. The scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies (DISLL)
- 1 scholarship for the English-taught study track in Communication Strategies of the Master's degree in Strategie della comunicazione;
- 1 scholarship for the English-taught study track in English Studies of the Master's degree in Lingue e letterature europee e americane;
- 1 scholarship for the Bachelor's degree in Italian Medieval and Renaissance studies.
The amount of each scholarship is € 6,000.00 per academic year. The scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
Department of Management Engineering
- 1 scholarship for the Master's degree in Management Engineering
- 1 scholarship for the Master's degree in Food Industry Engineering
The amount of each scholarship is € 6,000.00 per academic year. The scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
Department of Mathematics “Tullio Levi-Civita” (DM)
- 2 scholarships for the Master’s degree in Cybersecurity
- 2 scholarships for the Master’s degree in Data Science
- 2 scholarships for the Master’s degree in Computational Finance
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Computer Science
- 2scholarships for the Master's degree in Mathematics
The amount of each scholarship is € 6,000.00 per academic year. The scholarship is granted for two (2) academic years.
Department of Medicine (DIMED)
- 2 scholarships for the Single cycle degree in Medicine and Surgery
The amount of each scholarship is € 7,000.00 per academic year. The scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology (FISPPA)
- 2 scholarships for the Master’s degree in Clinical, social and intercultural psychology
The amount of each scholarship is € 6,000.00 per academic year. The scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
Department of Political Science, Law, and International Studies (SPGI)
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance
- 2 scholarships for the Master's degree in European and Global Studies
The amount of each scholarship is € 5,760.37. The Scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.
How to apply: you can be considered for the selection procedure, under penalty of exclusion, if you:
- do not possess an Italian citizenship (except for dual citizenship including Italian);
- hold a non-Italian secondary school diploma (for Bachelor's degree applicants) or a non-Italian Bachelor's degree (for Master's degree applicants);
- do not already reside in Italy;
- apply to one or more degree programmes completely taught in English mentioned above. Please remember that you can apply up to 3 degree programmes.
If you meet these requirements, you will be automatically considered for the selection procedure. There is no separate application or additional specific documents to be submitted besides those required to apply for the selected degree programme.
Selection criteria: the Academic Commitee of each degree programme selects the candidates eligible for the scholarship on the basis of their academic excellence and premise in the proposed field of study, academic quality and results of prior learning.
Selection results: all selection results will be published at www.unipd.it/en/assessement-results according to the timeline indicated in the Call for applications and before the admission offer deadline.
Acceptance: if you are offered a Departmental scholarship you will receive a Departmental scholarship offer indicating the procedure and the deadline to accept it. To receive the scholarship, you must not benefit from other grants and be able to comply to comply with the conditions to finalise your enrolment at the University of Padua. You will receive the first instalment upon your arrival in Padua. The merit conditions required to maintain the scholarship are detailed in the Call for application.
