Fudan University meets Unipd

On Wednesday 11 October, 11 a.m., a delegation from Fudan University , China, composed of six members, led by the Chair of University Council Prof. Qiu Xin, will visit the University of Padua. The delegation will be welcomed by Prof. Cristina Basso, Vice Rector for International Relations, department’s representatives and by the staff of the International Relations Division, in the most representative seat of Unipd, the Bo Palace (Sala della Nave).

Fudan University was established in 1905 as Fudan Public School. It was the first institution of higher education to be founded by a Chinese person. Fudan University counts 11 faculties: philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management and arts. Fudan University was selected into the “Double First-Class University Plan” in 2017, which is a state project to sponsor elite Chinese universities, and 27 of their disciplines are listed as “double first-class”. For all these reasons Fudan University could be an important partner for our international relations.

During the meeting, future collaborations will be discussed in depth. Moreover, a university-level Memorandum of Understanding will be signed.
