la Fondazione Giovanni Celeghin Onlus ha deciso di dare un finanziamento di 142.000 euro per il progetto "Neuro-Imaging studies of Oncological patients for Planning outcome and surgery (Neuro –Onco Plan)". Si tratta di un progetto unico per l’analisi sistematica della struttura, fisiologia, e metabolismo di tumori cerebrali in vivo, longitudinalmente prima e dopo la chirurgia.

Researchers from the University of Padua conducted fieldwork to study how solitary bees use information from other bee species with which they share the same environment to build their nests. Before choosing the location to build their nest, solitary bees carefully inspect other nests for clues that indicate the presence of parasites, making sure that their own brood does not fall prey to these parasites dangers

Nonostante l'attenzione scientifica e pubblica si sia concentrata principalmente sulle api da miele, la maggior parte delle oltre 20.000 specie di api sono solitarie. Un team di ricerca internazionale, di cui fa parte anche l'Università di Padova, scopre una inaspettata “socialità” di questo tipo di api.
