Welcoming International students

The Admissions and Welcome Unit of the Global Engagement Office organises - in collaboration with other university offices and Departments - a series of special welcome activities for all the international students who have chosen Padua for pursuing their Bachelor's or Master's degree.

The Institutional Welcome meeting (Unincontro and The Academy Night), generally scheduled in October, is held in dual mode (presence and online). The rector welcomes international students enrolled in the first year of one of the courses of study activated by the University of Padua.

Programme 2024

Welcome daysEvents addressed to all incoming students taking part in a mobility programme. They take place at the beginning of each semester and students can take part in informative meetings, which will be online only, as well as social events that can be online or in presence

Università Porte AperteDuring Università Porte Aperte, presidents of degree courses or their delegates, accompanied by tutors, welcome Unipd freshmen: an opportunity to introduce the new cycle of university studies to all students enrolled in the first year, to introduce them to the organization of teaching, services and opportunities.

Residence permit
The SAOS desk will organize a series of online meeting to explain how to fill in the Residence Permit request every Thursday at 12 am from September 5 to October 10, 2024.

Campus Tours: during the months of September and October, international students enrolled in their first year have the opportunity to explore and learn about university facilities, dining halls, study rooms and libraries accompanied by university students. The tours available follow two alternative routes: one located in the center of Padua and one in the Piovego/hospital area.
Programme 2024

Global Citizenship Programme: a 10-hrs Course addressed to International students which will help them to gain confidence with different intercultural skills and their possible applications in daily life or to face the most relevant global challenges. Participants will receive an Open Badge, at the end of the Programme.
