Earth Sensing

Summer school

The Summer School in “EARTH SENSING” will be held in the Italian Dolomites (San Vito di Cadore) designed as a week of hands-on activities, including workshops, seminars, and networking events.
The primary goal of this initiative is to provide practical and methodological expertise in Geomatics, focusing on both classic and innovative surveying and measurement techniques, applied to a complex environment like the mountains.
Participants will be trained on the proper procedures for acquiring, processing, analysing, managing, and representing metric and thematic data related to the Earth's surface. Innovative tools and techniques will be used for proximity-based surveys, such as portable laser scanners operated by individuals or remotely piloted platforms, as well as remote sensing data from the Copernicus space missions.
This summer course offers an incredible opportunity to combine advanced learning, innovative technologies and techniques, combined with the adventure of exploring one of the most stunning landscapes in the world.
