The University of Padua continues its plan to strengthen its presence across the Veneto region through a decentralisation strategy aimed not only at teaching excellence, but also at resource rationalisation and the redevelopment of local architectural heritage.

The Treviso Campus: towards the new “Ex Caserma Salsa” complex

Thirty years after launching its teaching activities in the city of Treviso, the University has formalised its transition to a stable and fully functional headquarters, moving beyond temporary rental premises.

The Comune di Treviso will grant the University a 50-year surface right over a building within the former “Tommaso Salsa” Barracks, located on Viale Brigata Marche. The facility will host programmes from the School of Law as well as the first years of the Health Professions degree courses, within a high-quality setting capable of accommodating approximately 1,800 students.

The new partnership between the Municipality of Treviso and the University of Padua will act as a catalyst for the urban regeneration of the northern area of the city. In addition to the full redevelopment of the former barracks, the plan includes the creation of a waterway running alongside a new cycle path, integrated into the surrounding green area. The aim is to transform the entire complex into a centre of excellence for the city, combining education, sport and leisure.

The overall project, worth more than €12 million, is co-financed by the Municipality with €3.3 million from Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR) funds, while the University will invest up to €8.97 million to complete the renovation, based on a joint project developed by the two institutions. This commitment will enable a reduction in rental costs and an optimisation of logistical and library services.

The works will be carried out in two functional phases: the first phase, funded by the Municipality through PNRR resources, is scheduled for completion by September 2026; the second phase is expected to be finalised by the end of 2028.

The Chioggia hub: conservative restoration of Palazzo Grassi

The University reaffirms its longstanding commitment to the Chioggia area through a new agreement aimed at enhancing the scientific and museum value of Palazzo Grassi, which currently hosts the teaching activities of the Marine Biology degree programme and the Adriatic Zoology Museum “Giuseppe Olivi”.

Under the agreement with the Comune di Chioggia, the property will be granted to the University on an 18-year concession, free of charge. The arrangement ensures the operational continuity of the Department of Biology and continued public access to the “Giuseppe Olivi” Adriatic Zoology Museum.

In return, the University of Padua commits to financing an extraordinary maintenance and building innovation plan for a total amount of €3.32 million, thereby strengthening its scientific presence and contributing to the preservation and development of a strategic cultural and research hub for the local community.

The University of Padua is strengthening its commitment to internationalisation and to protecting the right to education through a comprehensive action plan aimed at the international academic community. Through excellence scholarships, government-funded programmes and initiatives dedicated to people at risk, the University reaffirms its international outlook and its commitment to solidarity.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, the Padua International Excellence Scholarships call is being renewed, offering up to 69 scholarships for the most outstanding candidates admitted to international degree programmes taught in English. The scholarship, worth €8,000 per year, also includes a full tuition fee waiver and covers the entire range of degree programmes delivered in English.

The effectiveness of the University’s internationalisation strategies is also reflected in national programmes. In the 2025/2026 academic year, the University of Padua was awarded 12% of the 1,060 scholarships granted to international students and Italian citizens residing abroad (IRE), funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In addition, the University received 19% of the 74 scholarships available under the high-level training project “Invest Your Talent in Italy”.

Alongside the promotion of excellence, the University confirms its commitment to social responsibility through the “Unipd 4 People at Risk” programme, which supports refugee students, researchers and scholars, asylum seekers, and individuals who face situations of risk in their home countries. For 2026, 13 “Students at Risk” scholarships will be offered, each worth €12,000 per year (gross amount) and including a tuition fee waiver, as well as 6 “Scholars at Risk” fellowships worth €36,866.36 (gross amount) for a period of twelve months.

The University also continues to participate in the UNICORE 8.0 project (University Corridors for Refugees), promoted by UNHCR Italy in coordination with Caritas and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, together with a network of national and local partners. Within this framework, the University will offer four scholarships to young refugees from 14 target countries. The support package includes a tuition fee waiver, accommodation and meal coverage, reimbursement of academic expenses and an annual pocket money allowance of €4,800.

Through these measures, the University of Padua reaffirms its role as an open and inclusive institution, committed to fostering talent and safeguarding academic freedom worldwide.

  • tecniche di preparazione e processamento di campioni di istopatologia;
  • tecniche di taglio e di colorazioni istochimiche e immunoistochimiche;
  • allestimento e colorazione di campioni citologici;
  • principi e applicazioni della microscopia ottica e digitale incluse le tecniche di acquisizione e analisi;
  • tematiche in materia di sicurezza e di gestione dei rifiuti, in particolare: D. Lgs. n. 81/2008 s.m.i., D. Lgs. n. 152/2006 s.m.i. e D.P.R. n. 254/2003 s.m.i.;
  • procedure e standard per garantire l'accuratezza e la riproducibilità dei risultati in un laboratorio di istopatologia, inclusi i processi di validazione e verifica delle metodiche;

  • allestimento e colorazione di campioni citologici;
  • tecniche di preparazione e colorazione dei preparati istopatologici;
  • gestione dei rifiuti prodotti in un laboratorio di istopatologia;
  • gestione di campioni citologici e istologici;
  • gestione e manutenzione delle attrezzature di laboratorio.

colloquio, che potrà vertere sui seguenti argomenti:

  • metodi di preparazione e processamento dei campioni tissutali;
  • tecniche di preparazione e colorazione dei preparati istopatologici;
  • allestimento e colorazione di campioni citologici;
  • metodi di analisi al microscopio;
