
Students at risk: scholarships to support students A.Y. 2026/27
Student at risk
The University of Padua offers up to 13 scholarships to support students at risk.
Amount of scholarship: fee-waiver + € 12,000.00 scholarship (gross amount).
Other benefits:
- coverage of travel tickets to Italy;
- accommodation at suitable facilities, affiliated with the International Relations Division (rent paid by the beneficiary);
- dedicated buddy tutor;
- psychological support;
- italian language courses at University Linguistic Centre (CLA);
- support, orientation and guidance by dedicated university staff throughout the full duration of studies.
Duration: three years for Bachelor’s degree student; two years for Master’s degree students; five years for Single-cycle Master’s degree students
Who can apply: the applicant must:
- hold a permit of stay for asylum, asylum seeking or equivalent in Italy or abroad or
- hold a temporary protection as defined by the EU Decision 2022/382 or
- consider yourself “at risk”;
Moreover they must:
- hold a secondary school diploma (for enrolment in a bachelor’s degree or single-cycle master’s degree) or a bachelor’s degree (for enrolment in a master’s degree) obtained outside Italy and deemed eligible for admission into the Italian university system;
- apply to one or more degree programme(s) for the A.Y. 2026/27 or
- have already been admitted for the A.Y. 2026/27.

Selection criteria: Scholarships will be awarded to the most deserving candidates, on the basis of the quality and results of their previous academic career, their linguistic competence, motivation and “at risk” status.
Selection results: the results will be published from 8 June 2026, on this webpage
