
Students at risk: scholarships to support students A.Y.2023/24
The University of Padua offers up to 22 scholarships to support students at risk.
Amount of scholarship: fee-waiver + € 8,000 scholarship (gross amount). The only amount to be paid by beneficiary students for a.y. 2023/24 consists of an admission fee, corresponding to the regional tax and marca da bollo.
Duration: the scholarship has a duration of one academic year.
Who can apply: you can be considered for the selection procedure, under penalty of exclusion, if you meet the requirements below:
- you hold a temporary protection as defined by the EU Decision 2022/382 or
- you hold a permit of stay for asylum or equivalent, in Italy or abroad or
- you consider yourself “at risk”;
- you hold a secondary school diploma (for enrolment in a bachelor’s degree or single-cycle master’s degree) or a bachelor’s degree (for enrolment in a master’s degree) obtained outside Italy and deemed eligible for admission into the Italian university system;
- you apply to one or more degree programme(s) for the A.Y. 2023/24by the deadlines and according to the applicable procedures or
- you have already been admitted during the previous application rounds for the A.Y. 2023/24.
How to apply: The application must be submitted starting from May 15th, 2023, by filling in the following online form and attaching the following PDF documents:
- Admission letter for the A.Y.2023/24;
- Permit of stay;
- Description of the “at risk” situation as detailed in the Attachment 1.
Selection criteria: Scholarships will be awarded to the most deserving candidates, on the basis of the quality and results of their previous academic career, their linguistic competence, motivation and “at risk” status.
Selection results: Scholarships selection results will be published from June 19th 2023 at www.unipd.it/en/assessement-results according to the timeline indicated in the Call for applications.
Acceptance: selected candidates will receive a specific communication from the Admissions and Welcome Unit of the Global Engagement Office indicating the methods and timing for accepting the financial benefit.
Method of payment and maintenance requirements: the scholarship will be paid via bank transfer in two (2) equal installments. Further conditions for the payment of the first and second installment are outlined in the call for applications.
Revocation: in the event that the merit requirements for maintaining the scholarship are not satisfied within the specified period, the payment of the scholarship will be interrupted.
