It is open to the public at the Beato Pellegrino Complex until 23 May, the exhibition "The portraits of women".
The project, coordinated by Professor Giuliana Cortese and supervised by Lecturer Burcu Simsek, is a cultural initiative funded by the University of Padua through the Cultural and Leisure Initiatives proposed by Students programme, in collaboration with the University Alumni Association.
The aim of the project is to represent the strength, resilience, and empowerment of women from diverse cultures and backgrounds, using photography as a tool to tell unique and powerful stories. Each image aims to celebrate the diversity of female experiences, challenge gender stereotypes, and raise awareness on crucial issues related to gender equality, discrimination, and gender-based violence.
