The Summer School "TEAMING UP FOR CARDIOVASCULAR RISK REDUCTION; AN INTEGRATED PERSPECTIVE" is designed to provide medical students and early graduates with an integrated perspective on prevention and intervention strategies in cardiovascular disease.
Being cardiovascular disease the main cause of hospitalisation and mortality in Italy and worldwide, there is an urgent need to develop effective prevention and intervention strategies in an harmonised and cross-disciplinary approach. The programme addresses this need and will integrate pathophysiology, pharmacology and medical therapy with emerging fields, such as artificial intelligence.
Teaching activities will include lectures, clinical case discussions, practical sessions, workshops, and group work presentations by participants. In addition, informal Meet the expert sessions will provide hints towards career development opportunities for MDs in various countries. Across five dynamic days, participants will form connections that go beyond the Summer School.
