MSCA Seal of Excellence@Unipd

MSCA Seal of Excellence Unipd

Within the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe, the European Commission awards the "Seal of Excellence - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions" to high quality MSCA - Postdoctoral Fellowship proposals above the quality threshold, scoring 85/100 or  higher, which could not be funded under the available call budget. The Seal of Excellence recognizes the value of a project proposal and guarantees it has passed a highly competitive evaluation process, thus recommending for funding by other sources, at national, regional or local level.

With a view to encouraging a wider participation in the Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Action addressed to individual researchers (Individual Fellowships under Horizon 2020, Postdoctoral Fellowships under Horizon Europe) and looking forward to collaborating with the most qualified researchers, the University of Padua supports the MSCA Seal of Excellence @UniPD. Through a dedicated call for applications, this funding programme assigns a grant of 50,000 Euro per year to projects that have the University of Padua as their planned Host Institution and, despite not being funded, have obtained the "Seal of Excellence - MSC Actions".

The MSCA Seal of Excellence @UniPD funding covers a research grant contract (assegno di ricerca) and a budget for research, training and networking expenses.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) supporting individual researchers

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) have been receiving funding under the European Commission's Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe  programmes. They support the training and career development of researchers. Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) under Horizon Europe (2021 – 2027) are an evolution of the Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) Individual Fellowships.
