  EURES: working in Europe

EURES is a cooperation network promoted by the European Commission that puts in contact the public employment services of the European Union and of the countries belonging to the European Economic Area to provide both vacancies and applications, useful information on issues such as matching job demand-supply, the dissemination of offers at national and EU level, the recruitment of specialised and difficult-to-find profiles, personalised assistance for the recruitment of personnel from abroad and the possibility of acquiring interns from EU countries. The aim is to provide services to companies and workers and to any citizen wishing to take advantage of the free movement of persons.

  Schneider Go Green - deadline 15 February 2022

Schneider Electric is a company specialized in power management and industrial automation. It is launching a global competition for students to present innovative and sustainable projects in the following areas: Access to Energy; Homes of the Future; Supply Chain of the Future; Grids of the Future; De [coding] the Future.

Participation requires enrolment in one of these courses of study: Engineering, Economics, Marketing, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics and related subjects.

An excellent knowledge of English is important. The team can be composed of 2 to 4 members located in the same geographical area, but not necessarily from the same university.

The regional final competition is scheduled for 26 April 2022, the final event in June 2022.

Applicants must submit their innovative idea with their team on by 15 February 2022.


  UN/DESA Junior Professional Officer Programme (JPO) 2021-2022 - deadline December 30, 2021

The Italian Junior Professional Officer Programme (JPO) is a multilateral technical cooperation initiative sponsored by the Government of Italy through the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and implemented by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN/DESA).
It enables Italian citizens and citizens of eligible developing countries holding an advanced university degree to gain work experience with international organizations for a period of two years. 

The purpose of the Programme is two-fold: on the one hand, it assists international organizations in carrying out their activities by providing them with skilled personnel for a period of two years; on the other, it allows qualified young professionals seeking an international career the opportunity of two years’ work experience that will broaden their chances of finding a suitable job in international organizations or in the international field.

The deadline for submitting applications to the 2021/2022 round of the Italian JPO Programme is 30 December 2021 at 3 p.m. (Italian local time).
