Solitary bees, a resource for agriculture and landscape

Researchers from the University of Padua conducted fieldwork to study how solitary bees use information from other bee species with which they share the same environment to build their nests. Before choosing the location to build their nest, solitary bees carefully inspect other nests for clues that indicate the presence of parasites, making sure that their own brood does not fall prey to these parasites dangers

Truth for Giulio Regeni. We will never forget

On January 25 the University of Padua will exhibit a light installation entitled "Verità per Giulio Regeni". In 2016, the Italian university student, Giulio Regeni, was abducted and tortured to death in Egypt, and as such, the courtyard will remain open to the public on Saturday afternoon. This is an opportunity for citizens to give their respects and to take a moment of reflection on the importance of freedom of research and the right to knowledge

The Index Seminum is a catalogue of seeds and spores made available by the Garden to other similar institutions. The catalogue is used internationally for the exchange of seeds with other institutions for scientific, educational, and nature conservation purposes
