
University of Padua Wellness and Sport Activities
The University offers free beginner and advanced level wellness activities to faculty, staff, personnel, researchers, post-doctorate and doctorate students. Activities included: Yoga and Wellness at the University, Tai Chi Chuan and Wellness at the University, and Qi Gong and Wellness at the University.
The courses, which have a limited number of participants, are held outside working hours and are completely free of charge, subject to online registration.
Registered participants receive additional information on activities held outside working hours.
Yoga and Wellness at the University
Yoga and Wellness at the University aim to improve the quality of life through the benefits of practising this discipline and improving physical health, creating a mental-emotional balance, developing concentration, self-awareness, and deep relaxation.
Beginning and advanced courses are held indoors, in University classrooms, or online, once a week during post-work hours.
Tai Chi Chuan and Wellness at the University
Tai Chi Chuan and Wellness at the University aims to develop a path to a more conscious integration of body-mind-spirit and eliminate outside influences. This Chinese martial art aims to increase psychophysical wellness and harmony between the inner world and the surrounding environment.
Beginning and advanced courses are held outside or online, twice a week before working hours.
Qi Gong and Wellness at the University
Qi Gong and Wellness at the University offer a series of exercises and meditation techniques to coordinate body-posture, self massage and the study of breathing to develop concentration.
Courses are held once or twice a week, outdoors, indoors, or online, during pre, post-work hours or lunch break.
Postural Gymnastics Courses
Postural Gymnastics Courses aim to integrate the information received by those who participated in the University Wellness Service assessment. Maintaining and improving good posture for all body types at any physical fitness level is achievable through posture training, stretching, and antalgic posture corrective exercise.
Courses are available to the academic faculty, administrative staff, postdoctoral students and University fellow who have completed at least one assessment from the University Corporate Wellness Services. Course are held indoors at University spaces, or online, once a week (pre-work or lunch break).
