  PhD periods abroad and 50% increase of the scholarship

All PhD students with a scholarship can ask for a 50% increase of the scholarship for any period abroad for study or research reasons.
The procedures, the schedules and the instructions on how to submit the relevant documents for the authorization and the attestations of starting and ending the activities abroad are fully indicated in the informative note.

  Contribution from Fondazione Cariparo to support international phd candidates

Thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, 20 contributions, reserved for candidates with qualifications obtained abroad and not resident in Italy, are available for access to free board and lodging service at ESU facilities (the regional company for the Right to University Education).

  Italian National Pension Institute INPS

The University must pay social security taxes on the PhD scholarship. In order to do so it is necessary for the Phd student to be registered at the Italian National Pension Institute INPS: info about the procedure.
