Payment methods (PagoPA)
Course enrolment fees must be paid through the PagoPA system, that guarantees electronic payments to the public administration in a secure and reliable way and to which every public administration is obliged to adhere.
To make the payment, you must access the reserved area of Uniweb, in the "Contribution" section.
The payment is automatically recorded in the management system in the days immediately following the date of actual payment.
Payment Notice: document that contains the information necessary to make a payment to the Public Administration.
Unique Payment Identifier (IUV): 18-digit code shown in the Payment Notice, which exclusively identifies a payment requested by the Public Administration.
Payment Service Providers (PSPs): banks, post offices, and other institutions authorized to perform payment services, which voluntarily adhere to the PagoPA system, to provide their services to citizens and businesses.
Telematic Receipt (RT): electronic certificate of payment issued by the payee public authority
Public Digital Identity System (SPID): free system for accessing the online services of the Public Administration and participating private entities, which allows you to log in using unique credentials for the various enabled sites (www.spid.gov.it).
1. From when is PagoPA mandatory?
Pursuant to Law no. 8 of 28/02/2020, the obligation to make payments to the Public Administration exclusively through the PagoPa system is effective from 1 July 2020.
From this date, students of the University of Padua can no longer print from Uniweb the MAV bulletins of the university fees due, but they can still pay an already printed MAV.
2. What are the advantages of PagoPA?
- You can choose from multiple payment channels (online account, mobile app, ATM, bank counter, tobacconist, etc.)
- Different payment methods are available (credit card, debit card, prepaid card, etc...)
- You can choose which bank to pay with. The list of active "Payment Service Providers" (PSPs) can be found here: www.pagopa.gov.it/it/prestatori-servizi-di-pagamento/elenco-PSP-attivi/
- You can pay 24 hours a day
- Payment confirmation is immediate and any commissions are known immediately
- The security of payments and personal data is guaranteed through standard protection protocols
3. I have started a transaction with PagoPA without concluding it, and the "Pay online with PagoPA" and "Print notice for PagoPA" buttons no longer appear, how do I proceed?
It takes about 60 minutes for the system to synchronize again and make it possible to make a new payment attempt.
4. My bank is not on the list of credit institutions that adhere to the PagoPA system. How can I pay?
In this specific case, it is possible to rely on any of the credit institutions participating in the PagoPA system in the list of PSPs and use all the payment methods provided, with the exception of home-banking.
5. My credit card is issued by a bank that is not on the list, can I use it to pay online?
Yes, it is possible to proceed with the payment by selecting a PSP participating in the same circuit as your credit card (Mastercard or Visa).
6. Is it possible to pay at Poste Italiane?
It is not possible to pay at the post office counter via the paper payment notice, but it is possible to pay online with the Postepay card, which adheres to the Visa Electron circuit.
7. I have printed the Payment Notice, where can I pay it?
It is possible to go to the counter of a PSP or to a tobacconist where the SisalPay or Lottomatica service is active, remembering to specify that you intend to use the PagoPA system.
8. Do I have to communicate the payment or send the receipt as proof of the same?
No, PagoPA automatically sends the information relating to the payment made within the following 24 hours.
9. I received an email saying "The transaction has been completed in the following status: RPT accepted by the Payment Node". Does this mean that the charge has taken place?
No, this automatic communication is sent when the payment request is processed. Subsequently, if the operation is completed, another message will be sent confirming the successful payment.
10. I can't complete my credit card transaction.
Make sure that the credit/debit/prepaid card you use is enabled for online payments.
11. The payment fails or I see the message "received FAULT from the Payment Node".
It is necessary to carefully check the conditions indicated by the chosen PSP, probably the amount to be paid is higher than that granted with the payment method used.
