Services

To benefit from the various financial support measures, such as reduced tuition fees, regional scholarships, student collaborations, fee waivers and various incentives, students must follow these steps:

The ISEE is the indicator that summarises a household’s economic and asset situation, taking into account income, assets and the size of the household. The ISEE certificate may be requested online directly from INPS or from a Centro di Assistenza Fiscale (CAF) or other competent bodies, specifying that an ISEE for subsidised services relating to the right to university education is required.

The household of the person applying for benefits is integrated with that of their parents unless both of the following conditions are met:
- residence outside the family home for at least two years as of the date of submission of the single substitute declaration (DSU), in accommodation not owned by any member of the household;
- employment income or equivalent income declared for tax purposes, for at least two years, of no less than 9,000 euros.

The ISEE certificate is not considered:
- if it reports omissions/discrepancies flagged by INPS that have not been rectified;
- if it has not been requested for subsidised services relating to the right to university education.

International students must apply for the equivalent ISEE, if they:

  • are resident abroad (whether registered with AIRE or not);
  • are resident in Italy, with an annual employment income of less than EUR 9,000 and with a household resident abroad

The equivalent ISEE is an official certificate indicating the financial situation in a given year on the basis of the family status certificate, income and assets. It is advisable to start the procedure as early as possible, because several months may be needed to gather the information and documents relating to personal and family income and assets, and then have them translated and legalised.

The calculation of the equivalent ISEE is free of charge and must be requested exclusively from the CAF affiliated with the University and ESU:

The request for financial support is available in your reserved area of Uniweb under the item “Diritto allo studio, certificazioni di disabilità/dislessia, corsi estivi”

The financial support that can be requested is:
- regional scholarship;
- tuition fee reduction and other forms of exemption;
- student collaborations (200 hours).

Tuition fee reduction based on the acquisition of your ISEEU (computerised procedure confirmed by receipt of a specific email) takes place within 48 hours.
You will then be able to view the amounts of the instalments recalculated in relation to the full amount, in the Uniweb section (Diritto allo studio -> Contribuzione) by clicking on the invoice numbers shown (regular payment is indicated by green dots).

The deadlines by which these steps must be completed are:
- 30 September for applications for the regional scholarship;
- 30 November for applications for tuition fee reduction and other forms of exemption (those who work or have family members enrolled), and for student collaborations (200 hours).

Only applications for tuition fee reduction and other forms of exemption can be completed after the 30 November deadline, upon payment of a late submission fee equal to:
- 109.00 Euro for DSUs signed and/or RdAs confirmed from 1 December to 15 February 2027;
- 218.00 Euro for DSUs signed and/or RdAs confirmed from 16 February to 15 May 2027;
- 327.00 Euro for DSUs signed and/or RdAs confirmed from 16 May to 30 September 2027.
