Chinese language and culture at the Istituto Confucio
The establishment of the Istituto Confucio (Confucius Institute) at the University of Padua is the result of collaboration between the University of Padua and Guangzhou University. This cultural institution, present in over one hundred countries, aims to promote Chinese language and culture worldwide.
The school offers basic and intensive courses in Chinese language and culture, business Chinese, character memorisation, professional training, Italian and Mandarin for Chinese speakers. Courses are also available for primary school children. Additionally, the Institute organises preparation courses for the HSK and YCT exams, the main Chinese language proficiency tests. Courses start on a rotating basis throughout the year.
