Arqus Cafè and Arqus courses in a foreign language
The Arqus European University Alliance, of which the University of Padua is a member, organises "Arqus Café", virtual meetings for students, who can meet online and practise foreign languages informally, under the guidance of native-speaking tutors.

Meetings have also been made available in Arabic, Belarusian, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
The meetings last about an hour, and participation is open and free of charge, upon registration.
All students from Arqus universities are also issued with a certificate of attendance.
Arqus A1 Online Language Courses
In addition, the Arqus A1 online language courses offer a free and flexible way for students and staff at universities in the Arqus alliance to start learning a new European language. Delivered entirely online, these courses support the learning of the basics of the local language, proving particularly useful for students attending university in a country whose language they do not yet know.
In addition to this opportunity, the University of Padua also offers the possibility of taking part in informal in-person conversations led by a native speaker, thanks to the "Conversazioni Creattive" project run by the University Language Centre.
