Erasmus +
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2021-2027.
The general objective of the programme is to support, through lifelong learning, the educational, professional and personal development of individuals, while also contributing to sustainable growth, social cohesion, as well as the promotion of innovation and digitalisation, and to strengthening European identity and active citizenship.
For the period 2021-2027, Erasmus+ has a financial allocation of 28.4 billion euros, an amount almost double that of the previous programme (2014-2020).
In addition to funding individual mobility, Erasmus+ supports the creation and improvement of strategic collaborations between institutions and organisations in the fields of education, training, youth and the world of work. It supports dialogue and helps national bodies to implement reforms of education, training and assistance systems aimed at young people.
The University of Padua promotes the internationalisation of teaching and international cooperation through active participation in the Erasmus+ programme, in particular through mobility projects with European and non-European institutions, Erasmus Mundus joint degree programmes, capacity-building actions, collaborations and alliances for innovation and excellence, Jean Monnet projects, and more.
