Eduroam
The University of Padova is proceeding to cover most of its spaces with the eduroam network, open to Unipd students and employees, as well as guests from other institutions belonging to the same education roaming.
What is Eduroam
Eduroam is a secure wireless network, developed for the community of universities and research institutions, used worldwide by millions of users from thousands of universities in more than 70 countries.
Thanks to eduroam, users of any institution participating in the initiative can connect to the Internet at their own institution, as well as at any other institution where such a network is present. Everywhere the connection will take place using the same access credentials issued by your home institution, without the need for further formalities at the host institution.
How to connect to Eduroam
To access eduroam, it is necessary to carry out a one-off configuration operation of your devices (tablets, smartphones, laptops) to install a digital certificate that enables them and makes browsing safe. This operation is specific to each institution and must therefore be carried out at your own institution, as staff from other institutions will not be able to provide any help.
More information on how to access, on the coverage of the eduroam network at the University and on the user support service are available on the information website: https://asit.unipd.it/eduroam
