University Canteens
ESU canteens are near to the city centre or to the main University buildings.
A wide choice of food is available including three first courses, five second courses, side dishes, drinks, desserts or coffee. A light meal or pizza can also be purchased using a University card that can be topped up at prepayment machines located in the canteens. The charges normally vary from 2.30 euro to 4 euro, depending on the student’s financial situation and merit. Additional discounts are available for students eligible for or awarded study grants and for people accompanying disabled students (only if eligible for or awarded study grants). The ESU also guarantees this service to students at the University’s satellite sites (Castelfranco Veneto, Conegliano, Feltre, Rovigo, Treviso, Portogruaro, Vicenza) thanks to agreements with local restaurants and other self-service caterers.

The University of Padova favours international mobility through a network of integrated services offered to teachers, researchers and PhDs coming from abroad. The aim is to encourage exchange of expertise, cultural and social enrichment, and above all create opportunities to compare notes on different methods of teaching and scientific research, collaborating with leading research groups in various sectors of science and learning, facilitating mobility of teachers and researchers in order to reap the benefits of sharing scientific and academic achievements while promoting the spread of Italian culture around the world.

Services include:

• organisational and logistic support for teachers, researchers and PhDs on short or extended stays in Padova, including help with finding suitable accommodation;
• assistance with the procurement of entry visas and procedures for securing leave to stay (if required), healthcare, and issuance of tax code number;
• English language information about the University and about Padova, organisation of tourist itineraries for familiarisation with the history, art and culture of the city and the region;
• internet point services and help with free access to the Padova wi-fi network.
