- Guided tour: School groups can visit Palazzo del Bo with the "Palazzo del Bo Historical Tour" tour every day from Monday to Friday; On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays additionally, the "Palazzo del Bo and Gio Ponti's '900" tour is available. Moreover, The Hall of the Giants at Palazzo Liviano is also open to visitors on weekdays and during special events, even on weekends. (https://www.unipd.it/en/tours-and-tickets).
The guided tours are available in Italian and in English (other languages have to be requested at the reservation centre).

Other activities in Italian language:

- Thematic tours : this kind of activity is dedicated to students, in order to discover Palazzo del Bo and the Hall of Giants, starting with some of the places, characters and events that have made Padua and its University famous worldwide. These activities are available only in Italian language.

- VisitLab: Guided tours are available, enriched with educational workshops, where school groups are involved in practical and interactive experiences, based on their age and academic level. The proposal of the VisitLab it's a unique opportunity to learn about the centuries-old history of Palazzo del Bo and the Hall of the Giants through a direct and engaging experience. These activities are offered in Italian.

Palazzo del Bo and the Hall of Giants at Palazzo Liviano are equipped with an elevator and ramps for disabled access. In case of any special needs, please let us know when booking.
Palazzo del Bo is located at Via VIII Febbraio 2; Palazzo Liviano is located at Piazza Capitaniato 7, in the historic center of Padua.
It is essential that you strictly adhere to your reservation time; otherwise, the service will not be guaranteed.

Galileo holds the chair

Palazzo del Bo - Activity available on weekday mornings from October until May.

A tour of the main rooms of Palazzo del Bo, the historic seat of the University, to discover the history, traditions, and testimonies of the presence of Galileo Galilei, who taught mathematics in Padua and spent "the best eighteen years of his life" there. An engaging way to explore the highlights and most extraordinary scientific discoveries made during the University's 800-year history. The guided tour will be complemented by an in depth activity in the VisitLab classroom.

Medicine goes to the Theater

A special thematic guided tour in the footsteps of illustrious doctors, who, over the centuries, have made the Padua Medical School great like, for example, Girolamo Fabrici d'Acquapendente, Andrea Vesalio, Gabriele Falloppio, Giovanni Battista Morgagni and other important professors that taught in the University of Padua and their name is now associated with the anatomy of the human body. This tour in Palazzo del Bo focuses on the first world's permanent anatomical theater and the scientific revolution associated with it. The guided tour will be complemented by an in depth activity in the VisitLab classroom.

Helena doctrix

A thematic guided tour dedicated to the women figures who have distinguished themselves in the history of the university and their iconographies; particular emphasis is given to Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, the first graduated woman in the world. The tour aims to create an alternative narrative of the University's history and its historic building, highlighting the importance of female presence. The guided tour will be complemented by an in depth activity in the VisitLab classroom.

VisitLab: Hunt for the Giant
Hall of Giants in Palazzo Liviano - Activity available on weekday mornings from October until May.
Recommended for primary school classes.

A special visit to the splendid Hall of Giants (Sala dei Giganti) at Palazzo Liviano to discover its history, admire its cycle of paintings, and take part in the special "giant hunt" workshop activity!
Will the students be able to recognize and identify themselves in a real Giant? The visit is also an educational workshop experience: participants put into practice what they see and learn through a creative activity inspired by the marvels of the Hall.

A guided tour of the splendid Hall of Giants at Palazzo Liviano to discover its history, admire the 16th century pictorial cycle and get to know its context. Students will have the possibility to immerse themselves in a space where illustrious figures come to life, each with a unique personality and embodying values that still guide us today. The experience of the tour continues with an educational workshop: the participants put into action what they have seen and learned through a creative activity inspired by the wonders of the Hall.
