School groups can visit Palazzo del Bo with the Palazzo del Bo history tour every day from Monday to Friday; on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays the “Palazzo del Bo and the 20th century of Gio Ponti” tour is available. Booking required.
VisitUnipd also offers themed guided tours of Palazzo del Bo and Palazzo Liviano for students who wish to discover the historic sites of the University of Padua in an engaging new way.
The tours are guided by VisitUnipd Staff who tell the story of the key milestones in the history of the University, the ancient seat, the events and the personalities that have made Unipd famous worldwide while also contributing to developing its academic and aesthetic reputation.
Please arrive at the ticket office (located in the passageway between the two Courtyards) at least 10-15 minutes before your tour is due to start. Please abide strictly by the start time otherwise it will not be possible to guarantee the service.

Themed tours
On the trail of Galileo
(Palazzo del Bo, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m.)
A tour through the main halls of Palazzo del Bo, historic seat of the University, to discover the history, traditions and legacy of Galileo Galilei, who spent “the best eighteen years of his life” in Padua. A playful and interactive approach to learn more about the main historical landmarks, the highlights and the most extraordinary scientific discoveries made over the course of the palazzo’s 800-year history.
Activity recommended for primary school classes.
Cost: 50€ (in addition to the admission price).
On the trail of doctors junior
(Palazzo del Bo, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m.)
A special themed guided tour to learn about the illustrious doctors who, over the centuries, made the School of Medicine of Padua great: Hieronymus Fabricius, Andreas Vesalius, Giovanni Battista Morgagni and other important professors who taught at the University of Padua and gave their name to parts of the human body. This tour of Palazzo del Bo focuses on the world's first permanent Anatomical theatre and the scientific revolutions connected to it.
Activity recommended for lower secondary school classes.

On the trail of women junior
(Palazzo del Bo, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m.)
This themed visit is dedicated to female figures who have distinguished themselves in the history of the university and to their stories, with particular emphasis on Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, the first woman to receive an academic degree from a university. The tour aims to offer an alternative narrative of the university's history and its historic location, highlighting the important contribution made by women.

Educational workshops
Workshop: Giant Hunt
(Sala dei Giganti – Palazzo Liviano, Wednesdays from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m.)
A special visit of the splendid Sala dei Giganti in Palazzo Liviano to learn about its history, admire its artwork and take part in the special “giant hunt” workshop activity!
Will the children be able to recognise and identify with a real Giant?
