Continuing its commitment to promoting equal opportunities, and ensuring the well-being of its faculty, staff, and students, the University of Padua pays particular attention to combating harassment. Dedicated to cultivating an environment free of gender-based violence, and gender and racial discrimination, in March of 2024 the university allocated 250,000 euros to support the actions and initiatives envisaged by the UniRe, the Responsible University Project. The two-year plan includes training and information meetings for the entire academic community. The plan includes activating a listening and support desk, the promotion of fundraising for research on topics related to the project, and awareness-raising activities open to the public with special attention to secondary school educators and administrators.
The UniRe project includes various lines of action, including training, support tools, research, and meetings with local schools.
