A.Y. 2025/26 Transferring from another Italian university - italian entry title

Those in possession of a foreign entry title must follow the procedures listed here: https://www.unipd.it/en/transfer-from-italian-university

The incoming transfer is a procedure that allows students currently enrolled in another Italian University to continue their Bachelor's, Single-cycle or Master's degree programme at the University of Padua.
There are specific requirements to request it; the necessary information is available in the following document, which describes the steps to follow and the implications to be aware of before submitting the request to change degree programme, or alternatively, the request for withdrawal and new enrolment:

Conditions for submitting the incoming transfer request and implications for your university career

It is preferable to view the document well in advance of the start of the academic year, as some deadlines (e.g. for the recognition of previous exams) are set as early as July 2025.

The time of submission of the application (within the deadlines set by the Call for admission) and its correctness are taken into consideration for admission purposes. The request is managed by the office and finalized within a few working days.

  Examples

Example 1 – Incoming transfer with exam validation
Andrea is enrolled in the second year of Biotechnologies at the University of Ferrara but would like to enroll in the Biology of Human and Environmental Health degree programme at the University of Padua. Andrea has already taken some exams in Biotechnologies that are similar to those in Biology of Human and Environmental Health and would like these to be recognized so that he/she does not have to repeat them.
To obtain the validation of the exams already taken, Andrea must submit an application for credit recognition as indicated on https://www.unipd.it/en/credit-recognition-ita. By submitting the application in the required period (June/July 2025), Andrea will receive a deliberation indicating, among the exams he/she has taken in Biotechnologies, those that have been recognized as valid for Biology of Human and Environmental Health.
Based on the evaluations made by the commission that has viewed his/her career, Andrea will know whether he/she can enroll in the first, second or third year of Biology of Human and Environmental Health, and whether he/she will have to take an admission test or be exempted from it.

Andrea will then have to obtain admission to Biology of Human and Environmental Health, and if he/she obtains it, decide whether to submit an application for an incoming transfer an application for withdrawal-new enrollment.
The document "Conditions for submitting the incoming transfer request and implications for your university career" contains information on how to obtain admission (also based on the proposed admission year) and the differences between the request for an incoming transfer and that for withdrawal-new enrollment.
Once Andrea has chosen which procedure best suits his/her situation, he/she can follow the instructions for incoming transfer – available on this page – or the instructions for withdrawal and new enrollment.

Example 2 – Incoming transfer without validating exams
Alex is enrolled in the first year of Psychological Science at the University of Bologna but would like to enroll in Earth and Climate Dynamics at the University of Padua. Alex decides not to request the transfer of the CFUs (ECTS) accumulated in Psychological Science.
Alex will then have to obtain admission to Earth and Climate Dynamics and decide whether to submit an application for Incoming transfer or an application for withdrawal-new enrollment.
