The “Milla Baldo Ceolin” Nursery is an educational service created through a synergistic collaboration between the University of Padua, the Cariparo Foundation, and the SPES organization, aligning with the actions outlined in the University’s Gender Equality Plan (2018-2021) to support parenting and work-life balance.

The nursery, located at Via Ognissanti, 72 (map) in Padua, is part of a historic complex that previously housed the Institute of the Exposed, which has been restored for this project. It has a capacity of 50 places for children aged between 3 and 36 months and is divided into the following sections:

- Infant Section: for children aged 3 to 12 months, with a maximum capacity of 8 children (including the 20% increase allowed by Regional Law 32/1990).

-Toddler Section: for children aged 13 to 36 months, with a maximum capacity of 42 places (including the 20% increase allowed by Regional Law 32/1990).

A total of forty places are reserved for the University of Padua, based on a specific agreement. University staff who enroll their children at the "Milla Baldo Ceolin" Nursery benefit from a welcoming environment and high-quality educational services, at an advantageous monthly rate (Details of fees for the 2024-2025 period).

The nursery can accommodate children of doctoral students, research fellows or contract researchers with a minimum one-year contract, medical residents, researchers on fixed or indefinite contracts, permanent faculty members, administrative and management staff, language specialists, and agricultural workers.

Staff assigned to the Milla Nursery meet the standards set by regional regulations, taking into account the nature of the services offered, the structure’s characteristics, the age and needs of the children, and the nursery’s operating hours (1 educator per 6–8 children under 12 months and 1 educator per 8–10 children over 12 months, including the 20% increase allowed by Regional Law 32/90).
