The Director General  is responsible for the overall organization and management of services, material resources and administrative and technical staff, following the strategic lines addressed by the BOA. He was chosen among a number of highly qualified candidates with many years of experience in managerial jobs.

CEO: Alberto Scuttari

Alberto Scuttari, 52 years old, is the Director General of the University of Padova since January 2017. He completed his universities studies in Padova, becoming an expert in Business Process Reingeneering and Organizational Systems with a MBA from the Bocconi University in Milan

In 1992 he graduated in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Economics and Organization, at the University of Padova. He continued his studies at Padova University, with a PhD that allowed him to acquire team working skills and other competences useful for his professional career. His working life started in the field of international project management in the private sector .

Later, at the Bocconi University Business Management School, he was awarded an Executive Master in Business Administration, starting a second career concerning the management of public administration, especially in the academic field, while continuing to teach at the Crui Foundation and the Milan Polytechnic.

Among his most important positions, Alberto Scuttari was Director general of Ca 'Foscari University in Venice from 2010 to 2016 and, from 1999 to 2010,  Director General of ESU Padova. Furthermore he was General Secretary of Andisu, member of the National Observatory for the Right to University Study. He still holds an important position in the Committee for Housing and Residences for University Students, set up by the Ministry of Education and Research at the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Spa. He is also author of several publications in the field of public procurement.
