The celebrations marking the centenary of the death of the great mathematician Gregorio Ricci-Curbastro (Lugo, January 12, 1853 – Bologna, August 6, 1925), professor at the University of Padua from 1880 to 1925, will open on October 27, 2025, at the Palazzo del Bo in Padua.

In his talk, Dijkgraaf will illustrate not only how recent advances in physics and mathematics inspire and enrich each other, but also how a new logical framework is emerging that encompasses both disciplines. The session will be moderated by Gianguido Dall’Agata, Director of the Galilean School of Higher Education at the University of Padua.
