The festival opens on May 1 with a celebratory day dedicated to nature, music, and connection. The soundtrack to this sensory experience is the Buskers Flower Edition, an afternoon event in collaboration with the Ferrara Buskers Festival.
The mornings and afternoons also feature a full lineup of talks and conferences focused on scientific dissemination and the intersections of nature, science, and culture.
This year, Risvegli expands its creative offerings for adults, with an even richer selection of hands-on, artistic, and sensory experiences that invite participants to see nature with fresh eyes.
A new addition to this tenth edition is a series of sunset events, offering unique experiences that highlight the magic of the Garden in the golden hours of evening — with music, stories, and atmosphere.

"Windows on Elsewhere. 60 Views for 60 Refugees (Finestre sull’altrove. 60 vedute per 60 rifugiati)" (on view from May 1 to August 3) is a project conceived by Bill Shipsey, founder of Art for Human Rights, and Matteo Pericoli, architect and illustrator, created for Amnesty International Italy. It features sixty views drawn by Pericoli, inspired by the stories of sixty refugees: a visual and poetic dialogue between displacement and rebirth, where trees, memories, and hopes open onto a shared landscape — in deep harmony with the Botanical Garden’s essence.
Most activities require a reservation and are included in the event ticket, which grants access to the Botanical Garden during extended hours: from 9 AM to 7 PM. Talks and conferences are free to attend; however, they do not include admission to the Garden itself.
