Visiting Scholars under international protection

The Call Unipd Scholars Rescue Fund offers research Fellowships at the University of Padua for Scholars with Ukrainian or other nationalities under international protection.

The fellowship is jointly funded by the University and the Department/Centre that will welcome the Visiting Scholar, as well as guarantee access to facilities, libraries, equipment/laboratories, etc. necessary to the Scholars’ activities.

The application must be submitted by the Department of the University inviting the Visiting Scholar to carry out his/her study or research activities at one of the University structures, for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months.

The application must be submitted by filling in the following online form and attaching the following PDF documents:

  • Acceptance Letter of the Scholar;
  • Self-declaration from Ukraine Scholars (the sample is attached below) or documents concerning the refugee status;
  • The Scholar’s CV;
  • Description of the research activities, including the expected period of stay;
  • Resolution / Decree of the Head of the hosting Department/University Centre approving the application and detailing the funding. In case of more than one application, the Department/University Centre has to specify the order of priorities and confirm the commitment to fund 50% of each fellowship.
