Academic Year 2026/27

To access bachelor's degree programmes or single-cycle master's degree programmes, it is always necessary to take an admission test, which is used to draw up the admission rankings (possibly also in combination with other criteria) for programmes with limited enrolment, or to assess eligibility for enrolment for open-admission programmes.

Minimum score thresholds may be applied to the tests, or to specific sections of each test: anyone who obtains a score below these thresholds is assigned an additional learning requirement (OFA), that is, an additional exam to verify that they have made up the knowledge required by the programme.

Detailed information on the admission tests, the selection procedures, any rankings, and the assignment of OFA is published in the admission notices or calls for applications.

Below you will find information on the admission tests and links to the Admission Notices/Calls for Applications for the programmes that use them.

For applicants applying with a qualification obtained abroad: information on procedures and deadlines

TOLC

TOLC is the test used to access most of the degree programmes offered by the University; it is an individual test to be taken on a computer, administered by the CISIA consortium.

TOLCs are administered in "TOLC @CASA" mode (online) or in "TOLC@UNI" mode (in a physical classroom at the University). Both modes are considered valid for admission to the degree programmes offered by the University of Padua. It is possible to take the test at any member university included in the list of CISIA venues and use it to access the programmes of the University of Padua.

Attention: simply taking the TOLC is not sufficient to access the programmes. You must carefully read the admission notice/call for applications for the programme of interest to find out which type of TOLC is required, as well as the procedures and deadlines for all the mandatory steps required.

For those applying with a qualification obtained abroad, information on procedures and deadlines is available at https://www.unipd.it/ammissione-studenti-internazionali

Registration for the TOLC

The calendar containing the dates and venues available for taking the "TOLC@UNI" and "TOLC @CASA" tests can be consulted on the dedicated page of the CISIA portal.

TOLCs are considered valid for admission to courses at the University of Padua even if taken at other CISIA member Universities, either in "TOLC @CASA" mode (online) or in "TOLC@UNI" mode (in a physical classroom of the University).

Registration for the TOLC is completed on the CISIA website and requires payment of a fee of €35.00.

The test must be booked, subject to availability of places, at least 7-10 days in advance of the test date. It is therefore recommended to book well in advance, in order to meet the deadlines set in your admission notice/call for applications, or, for those applying with a foreign entry qualification, on the page https://www.unipd.it/ammissione-studenti-internazionali

More information is available on the CISIA FAQ page: https://www.cisiaonline.it/faq-cisia-archivio-tolc/
For assistance with booking the TOLC, please refer to the CISIA contacts available on the page https://helpdesk.cisiaonline.it/

In urgent cases where the TOLC must be taken within the deadlines set by the admission notice/call for applications, and no dates are available on the CISIA portal, you may contact immatricolazioni.studenti@unipd.it for assistance
