Academic Year 2026/27

To access the three-year or single-cycle master's degree courses it is always necessary to take an admission test, which is used for the preparation of the admission rankings (possibly in combination with other criteria) for limited access courses, or for eligibility for enrolment for open access courses.

Minimum score thresholds may be applied to the tests, or to specific sections of each test: those who achieve a score below these thresholds are assigned an additional training obligation (OFA), i.e. an additional exam to verify the recovery of the knowledge required by the course.

Detailed information on the admission tests, on the functioning of the selections, on any rankings and on the attribution of the OFA are published in the notices in the calls for admission.

Below you will find information on the admission tests and links to the Notices/Calls for applications for the courses that use them.

For those who access using a qualification obtained abroad: information on procedures and deadlines

TOLC

The TOLC is the test that is used to access most of the degree courses offered by the University; is an individual test to be taken on the computer, provided by the CISIA consortium.

The TOLCs are delivered in "TOLC @CASA" mode (online) or in "TOLC@UNI" mode (in a physical classroom in the University). Both methods are considered valid for access to the courses of study provided by the University of Padova. It is possible to take the test at any consortium university and present in the list of CISIA member universities and use it to access the courses of the University of Padova.

Please note: taking the TOLC alone is not sufficient to access the courses. It is necessary to carefully read the notice/call for admission of the course of your interest to find out the type of TOLC required, the methods and deadlines of all the mandatory procedures provided.

For those who enter using a qualification obtained abroad, information on procedures and deadlines is available on page https://www.unipd.it/ammissione-studenti-internazionali

Application for the TOLC

The calendar containing the dates and locations available for the "TOLC@UNI" and "TOLC @CASA" tests can be consulted on the dedicated page of the CISIA portal.

TOLCs are considered valid for admission to Padova University courses even if taken at other CISIA consortium universities, either in "TOLC @CASA" mode (online) or in "TOLC@UNI" mode (in a physical classroom of the University).

Enrolment in the TOLC is carried out on the CISIA website and requires the payment of a contribution of € 35.00.

The test must be booked, subject to availability, at least 7-10 days in advance of the date of take. It is therefore advisable to book well in advance, to meet the deadlines set out in your notice/call for admission, or, for those who access using a foreign access qualification, on page https://www.unipd.it/ammissione-studenti-internazionali

More information is available on the CISIA FAQ page: https://www.cisiaonline.it/faq-cisia-archivio-tolc/
For assistance in booking the TOLC, please refer to the CISIA contacts, available on page https://helpdesk.cisiaonline.it/

In the event of an urgent need to take the TOLC within the deadlines set out in the notice/call for admission, and for dates that have been sold out on the CISIA portal, you can contact the address immatricolazioni.studenti@unipd.it

Acquisition of the TOLC result

The acquisition of the TOLC takes place through a tax identification number, which must be entered during registration on the CISIA portal (portal from which the TOLC is taken) and in the Uniweb portal (portal from which the enrolment procedures for the University of Padova are carried out).
Acquisition requires a minimum of 3 working days from the date of taking the TOLC and from the date of pre-enrolment in the course of interest
The TOLC cannot be acquired without first completing pre-enrolment.

Any reports of non-acquisition must be sent to immatricolazioni.studenti@unipd.it
