Single course units

The University of Padova provides international students and graduates with the opportunity to attend single course units (up to 5 for each academic year) and take the related exams without having to be enrolled in any degree course.

  Who can apply

  • Italian and international students enrolled at any public or private university, in Italy or abroad (excluding the University of Padova).
  • Italian and international graduates who need to attend further courses in order to be admitted to second-cycle degrees, Specialisation Schools, Public competitions etc.
  • Italian or foreign citizens who are not currently enrolled at any university, who wish to further develop their academic/professional skills.

Enrolment in single course units is not allowed for the following courses: Building Engineering and Architecture; Primary Teacher Education; Veterinary Medicine; School of Dentistry; Medicine and Surgery; all the first cycle degree courses belonging to the School of Medicine.

Final examinations must be passed and recorded by 30 September 2019. A Transcripts of Records listing the courses attended and the exams taken can be issued upon request.

  Applications and deadlines

European students
Non-European students residing in Italy

  1. Fill out the Application Form and hand it in OR send it via post to the Student Office (see below)
  2. Wait for approval by selection committee of the chosen course(s).

Once admitted to the single course(s):

  1. Register on Uniweb. Log into www.uniweb.unipd.it and register by filling in your personal details on https://uniweb.unipd.it/Home.do?cod_lingua=eng . At the end of the registration procedure, you will receive a username and a provisional password (activation code) to use when connecting to the https://uniweb.unipd.it/AddressBook/ABStartProcessoRegAction.do , you will then need to set up three security questions and a new password with which they will be able to access the reserved area by logging into https://uniweb.unipd.it/Home.do?cod_lingua=eng
  2. Pay the corresponding fee (see below “Fees and payments”)
  3. Hand in the following documents to the Enrolment Office:
    • 1 passport-size photo
    • a copy of your passport/identity card
    • a copy of your residence permit (only for non-European students residing in Italy)
    • proof of payment of the corresponding fee

Non-European students residing outside Italy

  1. Apply at the Italian embassy or consulate in your country of residence by 28 August 2018 (first semester) or 28 December 2018 (second semester)
  2. Fill out the Application Form and hand it in OR send it via post to the Student Office (see below)
  3. Wait for approval by selection committee of the chosen course(s).

Once admitted to the single course(s):

  1. Register on Uniweb. Log into www.uniweb.unipd.it and register by filling in your personal details on https://uniweb.unipd.it/Home.do?cod_lingua=eng .   Fees and payments

For each single course you have been admitted to you will have to pay a fee of 224,50 euros, which includes the regional tax and stamp duty (to be paid only once even if you are attending more course units). The total fee may therefore range between 224,50 (for 1 course) up to 1024,50 euro (5 courses).

Fees can be paid by bank transfers (see forms below) or by credit card directly at the Student Office.
