  Official Register (“Albo di Ateneo”)

It is the repository of all rulings and official decrees issued by the University of Padua and it serves as a legally binding form of public notice, in accordance with the Italian Law. It lists several vacancies and selection announcements for the awarding of research grants (e.g. “Bando di selezione per il conferimento di assegni per lo svolgimento di attività di ricerca”) and academic positions that are available here.

  STARS@UNIPD Funding Programme

The STARS funding programme is launched every 2 years (new edition is expected in 2021). It is addressed to young pioneers of frontier research, offering support to ground-breaking ideas with definite potential to turn into competitive proposals for the prestigious ERC grants. STARS grants are open to all scientific areas and will support two-year research projects to be developed in one of the 32 Departments of the University of Padua.

The MIUR website dedicated to calls for research proposals provides all the information related to calls for research grants and fixed-term researchers communicated by Italian universities, public research and experimentation entities.   MSCA ITN – Innovative Training Networks, ESR/PhD Positions

PhD / Early Stage Researcher position in Research and Development for experimental particle physics in MSCA ITN “INTENSE”: A selection announcement has been published to award n. 1 research grant for the research project entitled “Mathematical modelling and simulation of drill-string systems" to be conducted at the Department of Mathematics under the supervision of Prof. Giusteri.(EURAXESS offer ID: 559017)

  MSCA IF - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (IF) are one of the actions through which the European Commission financially supports international mobility of experienced researchers within European Countries or between a European country and a country outside Europe. MSC fellows carry out their own research project in collaboration with a host institution, which is indicated at the time of their application. Researchers of all ages, nationalities and scientific disciplines can apply.

  Gerda Henkel Foundation Scholarships

The Foundation awards research scholarships to postdocs. The following fields of scholarship are eligible for support: Archaeology, History of Art, Historical Islamic Studies, History, History of Science, History of Law, Prehistory and Early History. It is possible to choose a host institution from anywhere in the world, including the University of Padua.

  Dan David Prize Scholarships

The Dan David Prize awards 10 scholarships to doctoral/post-doctoral researchers, carrying out research in one of the selected fields.
Grants are worth USD 15,000 each.

  Spencer Foundation Research Grants on Education: Small

The Spencer Foundation supports education research projects with multiple disciplinary and methodological perspectives that will contribute to the improvement of education and develop new foundational knowledge.Grants are worth USD 50,000 each for between one and five years.

  Spencer Foundation Research Grants on Education: Large

The Spencer Foundation supports education research projects with multiple disciplinary and methodological perspectives that will contribute to the improvement of education and develop new foundational knowledge.Grants are worth between USD 125,000 and USD 500,000 each for between one and five years.

  EASD Rising Star Symposium and EFSD Rising Star Fellowships

EFSD Rising Star Fellowship Programme aims to identify promising and innovative young researchers in the field of diabetes. It includes a research fellowship in the amount of Euro 30,000.

  EFSD/Lilly Young Investigator Research Award

The objective of the EFSD/Lilly Young Investigator Research Awards is to encourage innovative research in the fields of diabetes and its complications, and to promote excellence in medical education. Research Awards will be made in the sum of Euro 50,000 each.

  Dr. Eduard Gübelin research scholarship

The Scholarship is an annual grant allocated to an innovative research project in the field of gemmology and intended to provide funding and support to post-doctoral researchers in the fields of earth sciences, crystallography, chemistry, physics, material sciences, archaeology, biology, and related fields.

  Canon Foundation Research Fellowships

Up to 15 Fellowships are granted every year to highly qualified European and Japanese researchers for a minimum period of three months up to maximum of one year. All fields of research are supported. Application deadline: February 15, 2021

Prizes

  NOSTER & Science Microbiome Prize

The NOSTER Science Microbiome Prize has been established to reward innovative research by young investigators working on the functional attributes of the microbiota. For 2020, entrants must be younger than thirty-five (35) years of age, must hold an M.D., PhD.or M.D./Ph.D at the time of entry, and have received their degree in the last 10 years.

  Claude Bernard Prize

This medal and lectureship is the EASD's highest award in recognition of an individual's innovative leadership and lifetime achievements in diabetes research.

Prize for outstanding research or technology contributions to the understanding of diabetes, its disease mechanisms or its complications.
